The Big Comparison

Authors Note- This is my comparison essay and I would like you to criticize me on my body paragraphs organization.
When I was young I always thought I had the worst parent in the world but know when I look back on it I realize that I was the problem with my behavior. When I read the book the year of the hangman I realize that I have a well off life, and when I read The Outsiders I realized how important my parents where.
Johnny From the outsiders is a lot like Creighton from “The Year of the Hangman.” They have many similarities like the parents not caring about them. Creighton’s mom sent him to the Americas because she was depressed and was still mourning from her husband’s death. Johnny’s parents don’t even care about him they wish he doesn’t exist, so Johnny and Creighton both have parent problems. Since they have parent problems they have to go by themselves.
Creighton and Johnny has to go on by themselves because of without your parents caring about you, you can’t live like a normal kid. Johnny’s parents are not caring about him because they don’t want him in their lives. Creighton’s point of view of his parents is that if you are a kid that misbehaves they will send you away to another place that you don’t know. Now everyday Creighton has to fend for his life in a place that people look like they want to kill him because of his facial expression.
Although Johnny and Creighton have parent problems they are both different from each other because Johnny has a support system of friends and Creighton does not. Johnny has chances to live with other people and during the day Johnny can go to Pony Boy’s house and stay away from his parents. On the other hand Creighton has to deal with being alone because his uncle has been captured, by the Americans and is put in jail and the only thing that Creighton has is some money and a tree to curl up next to.
Parents may ruin your life or make it the best time ever. If you are like me your life could be great but if you were in Johnny's or Creighton's shoes you may have a struggle everyday of your life.

The Cause and the Effect of the Bluffing ship

Authors Note- This is a piece that has some text evidence and how a little problem can change the whole story.
Imagine sailing to the unknown lands on a mighty British sailing ship and see a flag in the distance, then see its flag waving that it’s is a friendly ship, but then it happens.
In the year of the hangman the Creighton goes to see his uncle and his uncle decides go to Louisiana, which is a decision that can ruin or save the life of Creighton and his uncle. When they are sailing around the Gulf of Mexico they see a American ship but since the war is over the American ship is waving there peace flag to the British, but the captain of Creighton’s ship doesn’t buy it. So when the ships pass by the other ship quickly opens the cannon hatches and shoots at the British ship and disables Creighton and his ship.
The pirates on the other ship board there ship and take them            captive. This was a big part of the story because now Creighton had to swear to the bible his likings for the Americans and is taken to Louisiana for  Mr. Franklin as a worker, and as a guardian. The effect has to whole story changed because in the beginning Creighton was a innocent British boy living in England now he is in Louisiana a Spanish territory and he has to fend for his life every minute of the day.
As far as I have read there hasn’t been a resolution it has only been getting worse for Creighton he has run away and he only has a little bit of money and has no idea where he is going.

Point Of View

Authors Note- This is my point of view piece and it is about a Colonel Hales Point of view.

Colonel Hale's point of view from the Year of the Hangman is that he is he confused of what Creighton is trying to get to. When Colonel Hales ship gets attacked and taken over. Creighton has to talk to the other captain. Then Colonel hale is sitting in the corner of the room and Creighton just keeps on talking and doesn't stop. The Author says that Colonel hale looks confused when Creighton is talking and I was confused as well.

Party with a Zombie

Authors Note- This is a creative story that changed gears a whole bunch and changes the whole point of view.

On the creepy Friday the 13th there was a party at Joey’s house, and I was partying it up, we had the whole get up go from the soda to the music, until it happened…
There was a loud crash like that out of a window breaking, and it got me out of my grove. I must have hallucinated because everybody kept on partying. So I decided it was nothing and started to party again. Until it happened again this time everybody realized that something was wrong.
Then Neil Patrick Harris flew down on a unicorn and started to party with us, after a while the unicorn turned into a zombie and bit Teddie and then, Teddie turned into a blood sucking, flesh eating, and bone munching zombie, Teddie then hopped on the zombie unicorn and started a zombie invasion. At that point I decided go home and plan for the invasion.
When I got home I realized my parents weren’t, so I thought they decided to play hide and seek with me. So I looked for them for about an hour and found nothing, At that point I forgot about the zombie attack and went to the fridge to get some milk. Then when I opened the door there was no food or milk in the fridge. After that I sat on the ground and started to cry for the milk. TO BE CONTINUED….

The Great Big Family

Authors Note- This is my Outsiders Essay and I didn't have a very good conclusion so could you comment on that.

When you read The Outsiders you gain respect for the other people, the people without a future, the people without big and rich families, and the people without the second chances. The Outsiders has a deeper meaning that most people don't catch. The main idea is not just greasers and Socs; it’s the deeper part of it and how family is more important than everything.
Without his brothers, Pony would have a worse life. The Curtis family has had a tough history with their family, with their parents dying and Darry having to have to grow up in a very short amount of time. It may not seem like it at first but Darry loves Pony; just because he hits him doesn’t mean he hates him, Darry really loves Pony he is just afraid that he will lose Pony like he did his parents. By Darry hitting Pony, which forces Pony to make a quick decision and it wasn’t the best one and runs away. That’s when the unseen family comes into play. He’s lucky to have his brothers, to have a family.
Without the gang, most of the boys would not have a support system. Dally gives advice to Johnny and Pony because of the support system and because without the system Dally wouldn’t of given Jonny the 50 dollars and Pony the shirt and Jacket. The system comes into place even at the brawl, when Tim Sheppard gang helped out with the brawl the system came into place.
The Outsiders has a moral and it is deeper than just greasers and Socs hurting each other. It is about the family and how much deeper it is than what meets the eye. The unseen family is important it is what keeps the greasers alive, together, and out of jail.

Buffalo Wild Wings

This cruel and unfair world is inspiring me to change it; this declaration is to show how outrageous Buffalo Wild Wings prices really are. This world has had lows but this is so low that it outrageous.
I used to go to the Buffalo Wild Wings all the time with my friends and get a couple of wings, but now I can’t even afford 8 boneless wings. I don’t understand why it costs so much money for some chicken wings.  When I went to Buffalo Wings I got 8 BBQ wings and 8 Asian zing wings and when I got the check I was furious there was no way they pay 15 dollars for 16 wings, they must costs at the most 15 cents per wing. After I complained they wouldn’t even fix my order.
One night my mom decided to get wings from there and she got the menu and left because of the outrageous prices and then she went and got some wings from Pick’n’Save ewwwwww!!! On my birthday last year my mom asked me where I wanted to go and I said Buffalo Wild Wings and she said no because it would be too expensive.
All attempts to get Buffalo Wild Wings prices to be lowered have failed. On my first attempt by taping signs to the walls on the outside, but all that did was getting us yelled by the cops. Another time we went there ordered 50 wings and just left, but I don’t think that did anything. The last attempt we had wasn’t really an attempt but we just went there and yelling out that the prices was outrageous. Those have been my desperate attempts to lower the prices at Buffalo Wild Wings.
This declaration is to show that if Buffalo Wild Wings doesn’t lower their prices it will affect their business greatly in a negative way. I will spread the word that in this bad economy no one would tolerate their expensive dining.

The Outsiders

Authors Note- This is just a bunch of thoughts put into a paragraph.

The outsiders is the title of a book and it means that the other people, the ones on the outside, the people without a future these are the people that are misjudged that are there because they have no where else to go.  The greasers are the people that had a chance but blew it when they were young.

Loss Of Innocence

Authors Note: This is just a paragraph with a bunch of thoughts and nothing more.

This poem has more meaning than you think and it really relates to the characters in the story. The big meaning is that at one point every character has a lost of innocence and has to grow up. This really relates to Johnny and Pony Boy because the loss of innocence is well known when they kill the soc and at that point they have to run away and become men.

Johnny

Johnny has long brown greasy hair, brown eyes and he wears a jean jacket. He also has a bad home life he lives with his two parents that don't care if he is home or not and when he is home they beat him. When Johnny kills the soc I thought he just got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. After Johnny kills the soc I believe he got misjudged because he only killed him in self defense and he was scared from the last time he got jumped.

Johnny At Home

Johnny is a great kid who is living in a messed up world, he is beaten at home by his drunken father and his mother just hates him and doesn't care about him. I think that part of the reason why he killed the soc was that his home life wasn't good so he made a bad decision.

Patriotism

Are you proud of your country- The question “Are you proud of your country” has been flying around lately and people may say “no” but that is because they may not like our leader or who is making the choices for our country. That is not the right way to look at it though the way that I look at it is the way we stick together. Like on 9/11 I believe that was a test to see that America can fall and America is not as good as we think they are. But we stuck together and bounced back we did not give up. Another one was hurricane Katrina that was horrible storm that destroyed the whole city but we rebuilt and bounced back. The question "are you proud of your country” is an easy one if you look at it the right way, and I am proud of my country.

Tell Tale Heart

Walking down a dark creaky hall wall at midnight afraid of the evil eye scared of the look the fill over it waiting for the perfect moment to strike. This is the setting of the Tell Tale Heart in this essay I will inform you if the man in the Tell Tale Heart is sane or insane.
I believe the man in the tell tale heart is insane because when he was going into the old man’s room I took him an hour of just looking into the room. When I read that part I was starting to get suspicious of what this guy was trying to do. After he killed the man I thought this guy was going to get away with this his tactics were very smart, by cutting this poor old man up in the bath tub and putting the body parts in the floor boards was pretty clever.
Then when the guy decided to bring the cops into his room I thought he was kind of pushing it then. I think the guy was getting more insane by the second when the cops were at his house because he finally couldn’t take the noises that are because he was insane.
The man in the tell tale heart was diffidently insane and in my essay I have informed you why that is. After reading this story I would recommend it to anyone that would like to read the confusing horror stories.

War

War is a rush every single day sometimes the rush is too much for people to handle. War has a specific sound that I don’t know but I think it sounds like the wilderness and gun fire. War has a terrible sight of blood dead bodies and evil. The war has many bad tastes like the taste of cheap food every day and the taste of your friends dyeing. You feel like you want to give up and you also feel like you just want to kill.

Casey at the Bat

(Rising Action) Dude what happened on Saturday it was your game how did you lose you had it. I totally freaked out when you got the first pitch called a strike it made you look silly. Then when the pitcher wounded up and throw strike two I could just see you get mad you looked angry I knew the third strike would never show. When the third pitch came I saw your muscles tension up and I knew you were swinging then your bat started to move. I knew you were going to hit it, but you missed I felt the wind from the stands, how did you strike out. (Climax and resolution n)
Sincerely,
Patrick, McKnight
